"Therapy is about having someone alongside you as you examine your self, your life and your experiences. I will be with you, to support you in your exploration, to offer the comfort of another's presence as you process those things which challenge you, interest you, or which feel unresolved. It is normal for this process to feel daunting to begin with, but I am committed to remaining sensitive to the pace you need to work at, and staying attuned to how your therapy is progressing. Therapy is a collaborative process, and one which I look forward to beginning with you"

I am a fully qualified therapist, with ten years experience working with adults, children and couples in a variety of settings, from schools and hospices to therapy centres and private practice.

My Background

I began my training in counselling shortly after achieving my undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Kent University. My background in Philosophy helped me to hone my analytical skills, but I longed for the humanity and fascination with people that had led to study Philosophy in the first place. I turned to counselling to bring me back towards the exploration of people, and lived experience that I felt drawn to.

I completed several qualifications in counselling before going on to achieve my MSc in Counselling Psychology from Keele University.

Having worked in a variety of settings over the years, I have been working in the private sector since 2016.
